Since 2018, Djobi Ensemble has been a vibrant hub for African drum and dance enthusiasts in the Mid-West. Our mission is simple: to share the joy of African rhythms and dance culture with everyone. Under the expert guidance of our master drummer, Emmanuel Djo Bi, and Kimberly Djo aka MamaDjo. We invite you to come join our journey to Africa. We travel to Africa every year with students and other people that just want to experience Africa. When the Djobi’s go to Africa they will take you to a few tourist spots that are a must see such as the Grand-Bassam or The Basilica of Our Lady of Peace and even the Zoo sometimes. We go to the village and live amongst the Gouroo people and learn from the people of the village alongside with other master drummers with the Djobi Family to dance and drum. We sing, we eat, we dance, and experience Africa! Every year the journey is different, but it is always exciting and such a learning experience. Brush up on your French if you like to join!!
